Uphill Access Policy
UPHILL ACCESS CLOSED! Please sign the waiver below online, fill out the check-in form, review our policies, and you are good to go! Feel free to come talk to our guest services team if you have any additional questions regarding uphill travel.
General Uphill Policies (Applies to all times)
- Allowed Equipment: Skis or splitboards only. Bootpacking or snowshoes are not permitted.
- Waiver and Check-in: All users must check in daily and have signed an uphill waiver. This can be done using this link or by scanning the QR code at the Uphill travel sign near the base of the Apollo lift.
- Designated Route: Uphill travel is only permitted along the designated routes shown on the Uphill travel map (please see bottom of page).
- Machinery & Operations: Users must avoid all types of machinery (including snow cats, snowmobiles, snowmaking, and pressurized equipment). Do not cross snowmaking lines at any time or interfere with mountain operations.
- Violations: Violations of this policy may result in legal prosecution and/or loss of Pass and skiing/snowboarding privileges.
Before and After Operational Hours
- Operational Hours: Before 10:00 AM and after 4:30 PM (Resort operating hours are 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM).
- Parking (Morning): Guests arriving before 9:00 AM must park in the lower lot. Snow removal may be operational.
- Lighting: Before 8:00 AM and after 5:00 PM, uphill users must have a light on their front (white) and back (red) at all times.
- Downhill Route: Before operational hours, the Uphill route is to be used as the downhill route. Downhill Skiing/Boarding is not permitted on any trails not marked on the uphill travel map.
- After Hours Downhill: After operational hours, users may access other trails but must follow all signs, warnings, closures, or directions from Ski patrol or other employees.
- Dogs: Dogs must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed on the mountain outside of uphill travel hours.
- Emergency & Services: Skier services are generally unavailable outside of normal operating hours. In the event of an emergency, call 911.
During Operational Hours (10:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Downhill Access: Users may access other trails for downhill travel only, but must follow all signs, warnings, closures, or directions from Ski patrol or other employees.
- Lift Pass Requirement: All uphill users must have a valid day or season lift pass to ride a chairlift. Failure to purchase a valid pass before loading a chairlift or gondola may result in criminal charges in addition to loss or suspension of pass privileges.
- Dogs: Dogs are not permitted on the mountain during operating hours. They are allowed in the base area but must be on a leash at all times.
