General FAQs
How do I exchange my purchase?
You can exchange your purchases for resort credit up until 11:59PM the day before validation. After that time, your purchase is final and cannot be exchanged.
How to exchange for resort credit:
- Locate your confirmation email.
- Scroll to the bottom of the email and click ‘My Account’.
- Click ‘Manage My Purchases’.
- Follow the prompts to exchange your item.
- Your resort credit balance will appear in the ‘Resort Credit’ section of your account. Note your pin and swipe #.
- When purchasing your new item, click ‘Gift Card’ at checkout.
- Enter your swipe number and pin at checkout.

How far is Nordic Valley from Ogden?
Our base area is only a 16-mile drive from Ogden.
How do I know what trails are open?
All of our weather updates can be found here. We also recommend following our socials, subscribing to our newsletter, and signing up for text alerts to stay up to date with everything happening.
What are your hours of operation?
Where do I pickup my lift ticket and rentals?
Our lift ticket pickup will be located inside of the temporary lodge, where the barn used to be. The Rentals Yurt will be to the right of the entrance for the temporary lodge. Boots will be located in the yurt with the rental skies and snowboards outside.
When does the ski season start?
Our scheduled opening day for the 2025/26 winter is December 12, 2025 but we will open sooner if mother nature permits.
Lift Ticket FAQs
What’s a Valhalla Voucher?
Valhalla Vouchers are our resort credit designed to give you a little extra during your visit! This perk applies only to select dates when tickets are purchased before 11:59 PM the day prior to your visit.
Here’s how it works:
- The credit is emailed to you the morning of your visit.
- After receiving, be sure to show to our staff when making a purchase.
You can use Valhalla Vouchers on the day of your visit for:
- Food and non-alcoholic beverages (excluding third-party vendors)
- Rentals
- Lessons
- Gear at our retail shop
Be sure to use it before the day is done—Valhalla Vouchers are only valid during your visit.
Credit is only valid on select dates and ticket purchases over $10. Check out our calendar below to see what days include resort credit when you purchase in advance!

How To Redeem Valhalla Vouchers
- Offer automatically comes with select lift tickets.
- You will not be able to view or redeem the $10 resort credit until the morning of your lift ticket reservation. View credit via email starting the day of each reservation. Your credit expires after your visit.
- Spend your resort credit at the snack bar or our retail corner. Not valid for 3rd party food trucks or for alcohol.
- To redeem resort credit: open your email to view the voucher and present the code to the staff during your purchase.

Dynamic Pricing
Nordic Valley has dynamic pricing on all lift tickets, rentals, and lessons. What does that mean? It means the earlier you buy you save. Tickets start as low as $11 and go up from there based on the amount of tickets bought and time of the year.
Reloadable Lift Ticket Cards
Reloadable cards are distributed at guest services daily throughout the season. Be sure to keep yours once you receive it! This card will hold your lift ticket for every visit to our mountain.
How to setup your reloadable card:
- Grab a card at guest services.
- Find the confirmation email sent to you upon your lift ticket purchase.
- Click the “activate now” button.
- Enter the pass number from the front of your card. It should be right below the barcode.
- Enter the pin number located on the back of the card.
- Click the activate purchase button.
Easy as that! Now you don’t have to stop at guest services again to get your lift ticket activated for the day. Have any more questions? Reach out to [email protected]
Do you offer half day tickets?
With variable pricing, we only have full day tickets to purchase starting as low as $11 when you book ahead of time.
How do I purchase rentals and lessons with my lift ticket?
Our tickets, rentals, and lessons are all purchased through the same store link. After selecting your day you wish to visit you will also be asked about rentals and lessons.
If you only wish to purchase a rental or lesson, remove the lift ticket after arriving to the check out in the webstore.
How much does a ticket at the window cost?
Day of ticket purchases are dependent on the amount of people who pre-purchased a ticket. It’s always best to book your tickets online as soon as you decide on a day you would like to ski. This ensures you get the best deal available.
Rentals Frequently Asked Questions
Are rentals a reservation?
When you purchase your rentals online it is not a reservation of the equipment. Rentals are first come first serve on the day of your visit. Purchasing online saves you money and makes your rental process quick and easy.
How do I purchase rentals and lessons ahead of time?
Our tickets, rentals, and lessons are all purchased through the same store link. After selecting your day you wish to visit you will also be asked about rentals and lessons.
How do I only purchase a rental or lessons without a lift ticket?

What do I do if I need to switch my rentals?
If you have any changes to your equipment like switching from skis to snowboard, let the rentals desk know. You can also reach out to [email protected]
Do you guys offer repairs?
Yes, we offer both hot hand waxing and a full tune for skis and snowboards.
Hot hand wax is $25. (24 hour turnaround)
Full tune of waxing and sharpening is $35.

Lesson Frequently Asked Questions
Booking Information
To book a private lesson you can either email us at [email protected] or call us at 385-298-0151.
A lift ticket or season pass must be purchased with your private lesson. If you would like rentals you can add them at the checkout.
When are holidays and weekend days?
Weekend days will be Saturdays and Sundays.
Holiday dates are listed below.
- 12/26/2025 – 1/4/2025
- 1/17/2026 – 1/19/2026
- 2/14/2026 – 2/16/2026
Important Information
- Must be at least 4 years old. Children 7 years old and under must take a private lesson.
- We suggest arriving at least an hour before your lesson start time. Traffic and variable road conditions may exist.
- Up to six people in a lesson
- Check-in for your private lesson is 30 minutes before your lesson start time. Upon arrival, please head straight to the ski school check-in at the base of Cub – the magic carpet.
- If you are late to your private lesson, your private lesson may be forfeited.
Reservation Policy
Private Lessons must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Please email [email protected] to check availability.
*All lessons should be purchased in advance. Day of lessons will not be available for purchase upon arrival. All lessons are subject to availability.
Cancellation Policy
Purchases are non-refundable after 48 hours of the purchase. Following 48 hours, these purchases can be exchanged for mountain credit (which can be used for any reschedules) through our online portal until 11:59 MST on the date prior to your arrival.
