It’s finally happening—our favorite time of the year is here! On Friday, December 6th, we’re kicking off the 24/25 ski season at Nordic Valley, and trust us, you won’t want to miss it. With the 2 lifts spinning and the mountain filled with excitement, this opening day is set to be one you can’t miss!

Friday, December 6th
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Both the Apollo Lift and Cub Magic Carpet will be up and running, giving you access to terrain for all skill levels. Food and beverages will be available at the base area from food trucks and our snack bar. We will also have rentals and lessons available too!
Here’s the best part: lift tickets start as low as $39 for Friday when you buy early online. Save some cash, skip the line, and go straight to the lifts, to maximize your time on the mountain!
What Terrain Will Be Open On December 6th?
Our snowmaking team has been hard at work, and we’re ready to welcome you back with four open trails! Here’s what to expect:
Open Lifts: Apollo and Cub
Terrain Access:
- Stray Dog
- Gold Rush (lower section groomed)
- Falling Star
- Cub beginner area (accessed via the magic carpet)
While most of our areas will be natural terrain, skiers can enjoy groomed snow in the Cub beginner area and the lower side of Gold Rush. The upper side of Gold Rush will be open but not groomed.
Please note that early season conditions and unmarked obstacles may exist. Before your visit we ask that you review your skier responsibility code.
