What to Expect for Opening Day on Wednesday December 15, 2021

We’re stoked for this upcoming Monday to open the mountain for the 2021/2022 season! We got a fresh 6’” of snow overnight, allowing us to open! Our mountain teams have been hard at work blowing snow and getting the lifts ready in preparation for opening. We are so excited to welcome you back this winter, and though some things will look a bit different, some things – like having a great day on the slopes – will still be the same. Here’s a quick look at what to expect on opening day, December 15.

First Chair!

Who will be crowned King and Queen of the mountain this year? First chair will go up at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning on Bridger Lift. The first guests will receive the First Chair Banner, bragging rights, and Blackstrap neck buff to enjoy their victory! First 50 guests receive a free Nordic Valley branded neck buff! Don’t miss out!

Opening Day Terrain

Bridger Lift and Cub Surface Lift will be open from 10am to 4 pm, accessing two beginner trails (Little Bear and Fox Trot). As more terrain and lifts open, we’ll post updates on our Snow Report. Apollo and the new high speed chair lift are expected to open later this week.
