The Nordic Express has officially opened and it is a new mountain!

We are proud to announce the opening of Utah’s newest chair lift, our high-speed, 6-person chair lift, named the Nordic Express. The community has waited over 50 years for this mountain to expand and the time has come! We highly recommend everyone to come experience this new terrain that has been unexplored and come discover a whole new Ski Resort.

We are so excited for our New Lift to be up and running. There has been much work and sacrifice put into this lift and it will be great to see our guests, employees, and community enjoy it. 

Our new high speed 6-person chair lift will be open to the public as soon as we receive sufficient snow to open the new terrain that the lift serves. Our grooming and snowmaking team is currently doing their best to push snow over to the in and out access trails in order to ensure safety and accessibility to and from the new lift.

We’re stoked for this upcoming Sunday to open the mountain for the 2020/2021 season! Our mountain teams have been hard at work blowing snow and getting the lifts ready in preparation for opening. We are so excited to welcome you back this winter, and though some things will look a bit different, some things – like having a great day on the slopes – will still be the same. We continue to construct our first phase of the biggest expansion in resort history. As the season approaches, we are working hard to get the new high-speed 6-person chairlift ready for the 2020/2021 season. Check out the latest construction photos below!

The mountain has been buzzing in excitement over the past few weeks! Our expansion project continues to progress with the latest delivery of the lift terminals and bull wheel yesterday and creating trails. Stay tuned for our official trail count announcement but keep in mind we’re adding expert, intermediate, and beginner trails in conjunction with our new high-speed six-pack!
